This was a topic project that I chose for the University of Oregon’s School of Journalism and Communication course Gateway to Media I & II. Gateway to Media serves as an entry level course to new journalism students and is mandatory. In Gateway, students learn the basics of journalism; students are exposed to the basics of photography, videography, video editing and journalism.

The “Into the Woods” project was my way of informing students, faculty, and others about the logging industry in Oregon. I have close ties to this industry, and felt it was necessary to expose it for what it is: a sustainable industry.
